In our regular portrait sessions, jookie, a portrait boutique, inc. focuses on creating at least one gorgeous wall portrait from any family session. Our basic philosophy is that kids are the coolest people on the planet and make the best art. This includes furry kids, too!
As a “boutique portrait studio,” we create wall art that takes your family photos to the next level.
Wall art normally starts at $997, and every jookie experience starts with a consult to talk about what art would work best for your home and your aesthetic.
During the consult we'll talk about clothing and background options as well as find out what you love most about your family and what you want to capture of them at this moment in your lives.
Note that jookie does not focus on selling digital files but rather, beautiful finished artwork. We know that busy parents need the experts to help take the stress and hassle out of family portraits and to take care of all all the details!**

**We do offer 5x7 print quality digital files at a certain investment level.

Your Mommy & Me Portrait Session
The first 10 folks to spend $1000 with Genevieve Boutique between Fri 5/3 - Sun 5/12, whether it's on clothing & accessories or a gift certificate, will receive a Weekday Studio Portrait Session and 8x10 printed photograph from jookie, a portrait boutique, inc., with an expiration date of 07/26/24.
(A weekday studio session plus 8x10 portrait is a $445 value.)
There is no pressure to invest in anything beyond your session and 8x10 portrait, but you are welcome to put it toward larger wall art and/or add on additional small prints in 8x10 and 5x7 sizes if you are interested. 8x10s are $250, and 5x7s are $147, respectively.
You can also put your Mommy & Me gift certificate toward our Momma Bear Spring Sessions going on at the studio all month long in May.

Hi! I'm Jill, the lead photographer and owner of jookie. I love working with kids and creating art, which is what jookie is about.
I often get asked how I came up with the name jookie. I named my studio after my oldest niece's pet guinea pig. It lends itself to the idea that portraits can be FUN and make you SMILE each time you look at them.
Kids are my people, and I believe that all children should have their images displayed as art on their family's walls. Kids love to see themselves in photos. It builds self-esteem at critical developmental stages and shows them they are loved on a regular visual basis. I also think the portrait process should be simple and easy for parents.
With an art degree from Northwestern (go, Wildcats!), and the privilege of studying with renowned professors like Pamela Bannos, Judy Ledgerwood, William Conger, and even Ed Paschke, I love capturing a family's love for each other and giving each family unique artwork to celebrate that love every day.
It's also important to me to help support the work of amazing organizations like our local food pantries (The Friendship Center and Common Pantry), Saving tiny Hearts Society, Chicago Library Foundation, I Grow Chicago, and The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights to name just a handful of the non-profits we've held photo fundraisers for since jookie opened in 2006.
